{"id":17029,"date":"2022-06-16T15:48:15","date_gmt":"2022-06-16T13:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/?p=1663927"},"modified":"2022-06-16T16:06:08","modified_gmt":"2022-06-16T14:06:08","slug":"every-episode-of-qi-is-now-on-bbc-iplayer","status":"publish","type":"rss_feed","link":"https:\/\/c01.purpledshub.com\/radiotimes\/rss_feed\/every-episode-of-qi-is-now-on-bbc-iplayer\/","title":{"rendered":"Every episode of QI is now on BBC iPlayer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rssexcerpt\"><\/p><p class=\"rssauthor\">By David Craig\n                \t\t<\/p><p class=\"rssbyline\">Published: Thursday, 16 June 2022 at 12:00 am<\/p><hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/><?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" standalone=\"yes\"?>\n<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><body><p>This is not a drill: every single episode of QI is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.<\/p>\n<p>The long-running panel show is a fountain of Quite Interesting facts, with each season tackling topics from a different letter of the alphabet (currently ranging from A-S, with more episodes on the way).<\/p>\n<p>The show differs from others in the comedy quiz genre by awarding points based on interesting answers as opposed to correct ones, with obvious guesses earning a penalty and provoking the dreaded klaxon.<\/p>\n<p>Created by television producer John Lloyd, the series was initially fronted by Stephen Fry, who stepped down from his position as host in 2016, when he handed the reins to fellow presenter and comedian Sandi Toksvig.<\/p> <p>To date, 279 regular episodes of QI plus a number of compilations and specials have been produced \u2013 equating to more than five days of content \u2013 which can now be streamed at your convenience any day and at any time.<\/p>\n<p>As the show dropped, Lloyd said: \u201cThe BBC\u2019s mission is to inform, educate, and entertain. QI\u2019s mission is to cram the whole lot into the same paragraph. With all 300 episodes now available on iPlayer, you need never be bored again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a social media clip promoting the re-release, Toksvig added:\u00a0\u201cPeople say that QI is on television way too much, so good news: We\u2019ve also put every series on BBC iPlayer.
