<\/p>
Fans of Emmerdale<\/a> are on the edge of their seats waiting to find out if Jamie Tate (played by Alexander Lincoln) will ever make his grand return<\/a> to the soap.<\/p>\n The bad boy was presumed dead when he swerved off the road in September 2021 as he attempted to elope with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) \u2013 his car was found in the lake but his body was nowhere to be seen.<\/p>\n We know \u2013 and some Emmerdale characters know \u2013 that he\u2019s in fact alive following a shock reappearance in November 2021.<\/p>\n Whether he\u2019ll make a full return has been up for debate, but that hasn\u2019t stopped the soap teasing it.<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n RadioTimes.com<\/a> caught up with Bentham at the British Soap Awards 2022<\/a> to see if her on-screen baby\u2019s father will ever make his way back \u2013 and she thinks it\u2019s likely.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d hope so!\u201d Bentham teased. \u201cI\u2019d love to see Alex back. We know he\u2019s alive\u2026<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s not even back and he\u2019s caused drama just with his name, so we\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Gabby\u2019s future, fans are going to see a different side to her.<\/p>\n \u201cGabby is back to her mischievous self,\u201d Bentham explained, speaking about the future of her character. \u201cShe\u2019s been very grounded at Home Farm and very secure.
