<\/p>
Fans of Emmerdale<\/a> will no doubt be very excited for the long-running soap\u2019s big birthday, coming very soon.<\/p>\n In October, the Yorkshire-based soap will turn 50, and as is customary in soap land when there\u2019s a big anniversary, the cast and crew are going all out to deliver the most explosive storylines to date.<\/p>\n Although it\u2019s still quite a way off at the moment, the Emmerdale cast spoke to RadioTimes.com<\/a> on the British Soap Awards 2022<\/a> red carpet about what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n Gabby Thomas star Rosie Bentham hinted that fans should expect something they haven\u2019t seen before.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a big year and it\u2019s all kicking off,\u201d Bentham teased. \u201cThe unexpected happens, and everyone\u2019s involved.\u201d<\/p>\n Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer, added: \u201cThere\u2019s so many people involved in it, like basically all of the cast, so it\u2019s such a big year. It\u2019s 50 years of Emmerdale \u2013 who would have thought?\u201d<\/p> Bentham added: \u201cYou think, \u2018What can they do next?\u2019 Well, they\u2019ve thought of it, and it\u2019s happening. Do not miss it!\u201d<\/p>\n Fans will also be hoping to see a few returning faces, and it seems Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) could be one of them<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sandhu told us: \u201cI definitely feel like anything can happen for the 50th \u2013 it\u2019s Emmerdale after all, like, we\u2019re going to go big.\u201d<\/p>\n Would she like to return? \u201cOf course! The people who work there are so great, they\u2019re so warm and I love the characters.\u201d<\/p>\n Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, added: \u201cI\u2019ve grown up watching Emmerdale so to be part of this big 50th anniversary, it\u2019s an honour. We can\u2019t say a lot about it, but there\u2019s going to be a lot of drama\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Liv Dingle actress Isobel Steele laughed: \u201cI should hope so, it\u2019s a serial drama!\u201d<\/p>\n And finally, Dan Spencer actor Liam Fox, hopes Emmerdale\u2019s humour will shine through.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope there\u2019s going to be a few laughs in it \u2013 don\u2019t know that there will be!<\/p>\n \u201cFrom what I know, which isn\u2019t a great deal, there\u2019s a lot of work going into this, and there\u2019s loads of different strands to what\u2019s going to happen.
