With its first season having broken just about every Netflix record going, it\u2019s safe to say that the second instalment of Squid Game<\/a> is very hotly anticipated \u2013 and it looks like creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is feeling the pressure.<\/p>\n According to star Lee Jung-jae, who is reprising his role as Seong Gi-hun\/456 in the second run \u2013 Hwang is \u201cstruggling\u201d to write the script at the moment, largely because he has so many ideas.<\/p>\n \u201c[It] looks like he has a lot of different ideas,\u201d he explained during an interview with People<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cBut writing a [script] is something that you don\u2019t know when it\u2019s going to [be finished]. Only director Hwang knows and [it] feels like he\u2019s really struggling to write the script.\u201d<\/p> In the same interview, Lee said that he\u2019d been tempted to ask Hwang for some clues as to what might happen in the second run, but he\u2019s held off for now as he reckons it will be a more satisfying experience to wait until the whole script is ready.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen there\u2019s this present that you want\u2026 you\u2019re waiting for that [and] you\u2019re so excited to get it, you don\u2019t want to have it little by little,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cYou want the whole package at once, so I\u2019m just waiting for director Hwang to give me the whole scenario, and I\u2019m really excited for it.\u201d<\/p>\n One thing we do know about the second season is that it will introduce Cheol-su, the boyfriend of Young-hee<\/a> \u2013 the giant robot doll that detected movement in the Red Light, Green Light game during the first season.<\/p>\n Hwang Dong-Hyuk writer, director, producer, and creator of @squidgame<\/a> has a message\u00a0for the fans: pic.twitter.com\/DxF0AS5tMM<\/a><\/p>\u2014 Netflix (@netflix) June 12, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote>
