Susanna Reid is a staple of breakfast TV as the main host of Good Morning Britain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The presenter took on the position following Piers Morgan\u2019s departure from the ITV show<\/a>, and is joined by a rotating string of hosts in the hot seat, predominantly Richard Madeley in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n However, she was absent from the show today (Monday 20th June), with Ranvir Singh standing in for her alongside Richard.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The presenters did not address Susanna\u2019s absence on air.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n So, where is the presenter and when will she return to the show? Read on for everything you need to know.<\/p>\n An ITV spokesperson told Express.co.uk<\/a> that Susanna had booked time off.<\/p>\n A statement issued by the broadcaster read: \u201cSusanna is on a pre-planned week off this week and is due to be back on screen on Monday 27th June.\u201d<\/p>\n Her absence comes a week after Richard announced he would be taking a \u201clengthy break\u201d from Good Morning Britain over the summer.<\/p>\n He announced to Sunday Brunch viewers last weekend that he was on a \u201cshort contract\u201d with ITV.<\/p>\n He told hosts Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy: \u201cSince Piers left<\/a>, as you know, his chair has been a kind of rotating gig and all sorts of presenters have come in and done it.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is true that of late I\u2019ve kind of risen to the top of that pile I suppose.\u00a0<\/strong>But I don\u2019t know for how long as I\u2019m on quite a short contract.\u201d<\/p>\n He concluded: \u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen.
