Brand-new thriller The Control Room is coming to BBC One soon, and we\u2019ve now got our first look at what promises to be an intense thrill-ride of a series.<\/p>\n

The three-part drama stars Iain De Caestecker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) as Gabe, an emergency call handler who gets a shocking and disturbing call one day which threatens to turn his life upside-down.<\/p>\n

In a newly released trailer, Gabe speaks to a woman who appears to reveal she\u2019s killed someone, before she seemingly recognises his voice, saying: \u201cGabo, is that you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Cue intense chase sequences, raised guns and emotional breakdowns. You can check out the full trailer here.<\/p>\n\nThe official synopsis for the series reads: \u201cThe Control Room tells the story of Gabe (Iain De Caestecker), an ordinary man who works as an emergency call handler for the Strathclyde Ambulance Service in Glasgow.<\/p>\n\u201cHis world is turned upside down when he receives a desperate life-and-death call from a distressed woman who appears to know him. With Gabe under pressure to work out who she is, he makes a decision that threatens to have devastating consequences\u2026\u201d<\/p>\nThe series also stars Joanna Vanderham (Dancing on the Edge), Sharon Rooney (My Mad Fat Diary), Daniel Portman (<a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/fantasy\/house-of-the-dragon-thrones-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Game of Thrones<\/a>), Taj Atwal (<a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/line-of-duty-season-7-release-date\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Line of Duty<\/a>) and Stuart Bowman (<a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/bodyguard-series-2-renewed-bbc1-air-date-cast-trailer-richard-madden-jed-mercurio-keeley-hawes\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Bodyguard<\/a>).<\/p>\nIt comes from BAFTA and RTS award-winning writer Nick Leather (Mothers\u2019 Day) and is produced by Hartswood Films which has previously produced <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/sherlock-creators-return-exclusive-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Sherlock<\/a> and Dracula, as well as upcoming series <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/inside-man-bbc-david-tennant-first-look-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Inside Man<\/a> and <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/sci-fi\/devils-hour-peter-capaldi-first-look-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">The Devil\u2019s Hour<\/a>.<\/p> When the series was first announced, Iain De Caestecker said: \u201cThe Control Room is one of the most exciting scripts I\u2019ve ever read, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time so I\u2019m thrilled to now be bringing it to life.<\/p>\n\u201cI\u2019ve always loved working with the BBC and am especially delighted to be filming alongside this fantastic cast and crew in my hometown of Glasgow.\u201d<\/p>\nThe Control Room will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
