\u201cWe have George Lucas\u2019d things also that people don\u2019t know about,\u201d Matt Duffer said, although he didn\u2019t specify which aspects of Stranger Things<\/a> had been altered post-release.<\/p>\n \u201cYou do have the physical copies though, the Blu-rays and stuff \u2013 you\u2019d have to compare [with the Netflix version],\u201d Ross Duffer added.<\/p>\n The Duffers also admitted to editing some scenes from Stranger Things season 4 Volume 1 after it was released on 27th May.<\/p>\n \u201cSome of the visual effects,\u201d said Ross. \u201cIt\u2019s not, like, story, but you\u2019re essentially patching in shots. Netflix is \u2013 I don\u2019t think they\u2019ve ever allowed people to patch on opening week and even weekend.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd we said, \u2018Well, why not?\u2019 And he said, \u2018Well, it makes us nervous.\u2019 And we\u2019re like, \u2018Well, maybe we try it this time.\u2019 And it turned out fine.\u201d<\/p> Shortly after the release of the latest season of Stranger Things, fans noticed that an episode appeared to be set on Will Byers\u2019s birthday \u2013 the date of which had been previously established in a past season.<\/p>\n However, the Duffer Brothers admitted that this was a continuity error on their part, and that other on-screen characters hadn\u2019t<\/em> forgotten Will\u2019d birthday, as viewers feared.<\/p>\n Ross joked at the time: \u201cWhat we\u2019re going to do is we\u2019ll go and George Lucas it.\u201d<\/p>\n Matt added: \u201cWe\u2019re thinking his new birthday\u2026 is going to be May 22nd, because \u2018May\u2019 can fit in Winona [Ryder]\u2019s mouth.
