The star was quizzed about his return to the soap during an appearance on The One Show. <\/p>
It was confirmed last month that Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue would be reprising their iconic roles<\/a> as Scott and Charlene in the Neighbours finale \u2013 and now Donovan has addressed rumours regarding the content of their scenes together.<\/p>\n An apparent leaked script from the finale appeared to show that Charlene and Scott would return in the final moments of the episode, arriving in a car and declaring: \u201cAt last. We\u2019re home.\u201d<\/p>\n And Donovan has now teased that those rumours are \u201cclose\u201d to the truth, after being asked about them during an appearance on The One Show yesterday (Tuesday 28th June).<\/p>\n Originally asked about their reunion, he simply said, \u201cI\u2019m not going to give too much away about the episode but I can tell you it\u2019s gonna happen \u2013 in what capacity, you\u2019re going to have to switch over to Channel 5.\u201d<\/p>\n And pressed by Alex Jones and Rylan Clark about the leaked scripts, he added, \u201cI can\u2019t make a comment about that, I think you could be close but let\u2019s see, let\u2019s wait and see.\u201d<\/p> His fellow guest on the programme Harry Hill then joked, \u201cIt\u2019s not just a Zoom meeting is it?\u201d which prompted Donovan to laugh and add: \u201cNo. There\u2019s a bit of denim involved, that\u2019s for sure, which is why I\u2019m wearing the ripped jeans today \u2013 it\u2019s a throwback to 1988.\u201d<\/p>\n Jones then referred to Minogue\u2019s comments that filming the scenes had been emotional, and asked Donovan if he felt the same way.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was [emotional],\u201d he replied. \u201cI mean, you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory, and there\u2019s so much when you come down that street and go into Pin Oak Court where the show was made.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd you know to this day I still refer back to Neighbours\u2026 so you know, it was emotional but it\u2019s filming and it moves on and yeah, you\u2019ll have to wait and see. What I do hope is that the expectations aren\u2019t too big!\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Interestingly, the soap\u2019s executive producer Jason Herbison recently played down the rumours regarding the final scenes, telling The Herald Sun<\/a>, \u201cWhat I\u2019ve read is not what happens which is great. It hasn\u2019t come out yet.\u201d<\/p>\n He added:\u00a0\u201cSeeing Kylie back as Charlene was quite a moment.
