Stranger Things\u2019<\/a> run \u2013 and especially in the most recent season \u2013 fans have wondered if Will (Noah Schnapp) might be gay \u2013 and now the show has given us the strongest hints yet about the character\u2019s sexuality.<\/p>\nIn the first episode of Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 \u2013 the eighth of the season overall \u2013 Will and Mike share a scene in which the former comforts his friend by telling him that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) still needs him. But it\u2019s immediately clear that he\u2019s not so much speaking about El as he is outlining his own thought process.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese past few months she\u2019s been so lost without you,\u201d Will says. \u201cIt\u2019s just, she\u2019s so different from other people, and\u2026when you\u2019re\u2026when you\u2019re different, sometimes\u2026you feel like a mistake.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut you make her feel like she\u2019s not a mistake at all. Like she\u2019s better for being different.\u201d<\/p>
He goes on: \u201cAnd that gives her the courage to fight on. If she was mean to you or she seemed like she was pushing you away, it\u2019s probably because she\u2019s scared of losing you, just like you\u2019re scared of losing her. And if she was going to lose you, I think she\u2019d rather just get it over with quick. Like ripping off a Band-Aid.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo yeah, El needs you Mike. And she always will.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mike doesn\u2019t quite seem to realise the significance of this speech, however, and we soon discover that Will is in tears as he stares in anguish out of the car window \u2013 something which his brother Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) appears to notice.<\/p>\n
