You can\u2019t have Thor without Loki<\/a>\u2026 or so we might have thought. Because after playing a key role in the first three Thor movies (and the first Avengers film), Tom Hiddleston\u2019s God of Mischief met his end at the hand of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Cue Chris Hemsworth waterworks.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can\u2019t keep a good trickster down, and Hiddleston returned as an alternate-timeline version of Loki in his own Disney Plus<\/a> series last year. And with a new Thor movie<\/a> released this week, fans would be forgiven for wondering whether Hiddleston \u2013 and one or more versions of Loki \u2013 would make an appearance.<\/p>

Is Loki in Thor: Love and Thunder?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Well, we\u2019ve now seen Thor: Love and Thunder \u2013 and while we don\u2019t want to give anything away about the plot, it\u2019s no spoiler to say that for the first time, Hiddleston\u2019s Loki is not a character in the story. However, in some small ways, his presence is still felt.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of the film, a series of flashbacks to Thor\u2019s (Chris Hemsworth) past adventures includes quick shots of Loki in the earlier films, meaning that Hiddleston technically<\/em> still appears in every Thor film.<\/p>\n
