Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about his alleged involvement, Freeman said: \u201cYeah \u2013 I think that\u2019s kosher information, isn\u2019t it?<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIn order not to embarrass Samuel, I will say\u2026 I\u2019m not gonna say he\u2019s got that totally wrong and he\u2019s thinking of Sam Rockwell,\u201d he joked. \u201cSo yes, I may very well be [appearing].\u201d<\/span><\/p> Freeman made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as CIA agent Everett K Ross in 2016 film Captain America: Civil War, before going on to appear in 2018\u2019s Oscar-winning Black Panther (2018). He will also appear in this year\u2019s sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/a>.<\/p>\n Based on the 2008-2009 Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, Secret Invasion is a six-part series that will debut on streaming service Disney Plus \u2013 though an official release date is yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n Alongside Jackson, Freeman and Cheadle (returning as War Machine \/ James Rhodes), Cobie Smulders and Ben Mendelsohn will also be reprising their respective roles of S.H.I.E.L.D agent Maria Hill and Skrull leader Talos.<\/p>\n Joining the MCU in the series will be Olivia Colman (The Crown<\/a>), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Killian Scott (Dublin Murders), Carmen Ejogo (Your Honor<\/a>) and Kingsley Ben-Adir (Peaky Blinders<\/a>).<\/p>\n Secret Invasion will explore the aftermath of a covert infiltration of Earth by a sect of shape-shifting aliens, the Skrulls.<\/p>\n Freeman will next be seen on-screen in the new season of Breeders<\/a>, the Sky comedy-drama that he co-created with The Thick of It\u2019s Chris Addison and Simon Blackwel.
