Victoria Derbyshire has been confirmed as BBC Newsnight\u2019s new presenter, replacing Emily Maitlis.<\/p>\n

The broadcaster wrote in a tweet that she\u2019ll be joining Kirsty Wark and the Newsnight team, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s one of the best jobs in British journalism and I can\u2019t wait to champion more stories about people\u2019s lives while holding those who represent them to account.\u201d<\/p>\n
