The latest Marvel adventure Thor: Love and Thunder<\/a> has finally landed in cinemas.<\/p>\n

The movie sees Chris Hemsworth return as the Asgardian God of Thunder, as well as Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor, aka Jane Foster, in her first appearance in the MCU after almost a decade away.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hardly surprising then, that fans of all ages are clamouring to see the Marvel film, which received overwhelmingly positive first reactions\u00a0at the Marvel film\u2019s world premiere<\/a> last month (June 2022).<\/p>\n

However, with the\u00a0final trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder\u00a0hinting that the movie might contain at least one shot of Chris Hemsworth\u2019s naked derri\u00e8re,\u00a0some parents might be wondering what the age rating is.<\/p>\n

If that\u2019s you, then look no further: we\u2019ve put together this overview of what the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)\u00a0has to say about the movie.<\/p>\n

Thor Love and Thunder age rating<\/h1>\n

Thor: Love and Thunder has been rated by the BBFC as \u201912A\u2019, which officially means that the film is \u201cnot generally suitable for children aged under 12\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, a child younger than 12 can still be admitted to a 12A film as long as they are accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n

The rating has been issued in response to \u201cscenes of fantastical bloodshed\u201d and scenes where \u201cfantastical creatures are sloppily dismembered\u201d.<\/p>\n

Other moments include \u201cmild innuendo\u201d, \u201creference to orgies\u201d and \u201ccomic rear nudity\u201d, which was hinted at in the final trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder as\u00a0Russell Crowe\u2019s Zeus uses his powers to tear Thor\u2019s clothes off.<\/p>\n

Thor: Love and Thunder will make history as the first MCU film to feature partial nudity.<\/p>\n

The film also includes \u201csequences of moderate horror,\u201d \u201cprolonged fantastical fight sequences,\u201d and significant use of \u201cmild bad language\u201d.<\/p>\n

A warning is also issued for \u201ca character\u2019s terminal cancer,\u201d which will be Natalie Portman\u2019s Jane Foster, as the character will struggle with cancer<\/a> in the upcoming movie much like her comic book counterpart.<\/p>\n
