EA is returning to the world of skateboarding games with Skate 4, which will officially be titled like so: skate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a sequel,\u201d the developers from Full Circle stated on the game\u2019s official website<\/a>, explaining why it\u2019s not called Skate 4. \u201cThis is skate. refreshed with a forever vision in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slightly odd nomenclature aside, we don\u2019t have a tonne of information on the game just yet, but EA has begun to eke out the details gradually.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re wondering about the Skate 4 release date, that hasn\u2019t been confirmed yet \u2013 but we do have some other information that you might find interesting. Keep on reading to learn more!<\/p>\n

When is the Skate 4 release date?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Skate 4 release date has not been confirmed yet, with rumours on the web pointing towards\u00a02023\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a02024\u00a0<\/strong>at this point.<\/p>\n

Development of the latest Skate game has been going on for quite some time now, which might make you think that it\u2019s coming soon, but sadly you\u2019ll have to wait a while longer.<\/p>\n

Can I pre-order Skate 4?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Not yet! Pre-orders have not begun for Skate 4 at this point.<\/p>\n

In fact, you might never need to pay for Skate 4 \u2014 it has been confirmed that EA is making the game free-to-play!<\/p>

How to apply for the Skate 4 playtest<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Some lucky players will be able to access Skate 4 early with the official playtest \u2013\u00a0one phase of this has already taken place, but we\u2019d expect there to be more Skate 4 playtests in future.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re like to take part in a Skate 4 playtest, you need to sign up on the official website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and hope you get picked for inclusion!<\/p>\n

What platforms can you get Skate 4 on?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Skate 4 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X\/S, EA has confirmed. Work is also underway on a mobile version, too, but there\u2019s no word yet on a Nintendo Switch release.<\/p>\n

Skate 4 gameplay<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You can see some very early gameplay footage Skate 4 in the trailer at the bottom of this page! As it shows, the game looks colourful and chaotic, as well as being a whole lot of fun. It is, of course, a freewheeling skateboarding game that will take a fair amount of practise to master!<\/p>\n
