James Blunt will be the subject of a new documentary, billed as a story about \u201can ageing, British popstar, still fighting for relevance\u201d.<\/p>\n
The film is a behind-the-scenes, all-access look at Blunt\u2019s latest tour in Europe, while also promising to offer viewers greater insight into the soldier-turned-singer\u2019s backstory.<\/p>\n
The documentary is described as \u201cSpinal Tap meets Alan Partridge\u201d and \u201cis a behind the scenes, brutally honest story of a painfully self-aware, endlessly touring musician, for whom persistence eventually prevails\u201d.<\/p>\n
In the press release, Blunt himself quipped: \u201cIn hindsight, I\u2019m not sure letting them film this was a good idea.\u201d<\/p>
The series is helmed by Lorton Entertainment, the makers of Bros: After the Screaming Stops,\u00a0award-winning\u00a0Oasis documentary\u00a0Supersonic<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0soon-to-air George Ezra film\u00a0End-to-End.<\/p>\n \u201cThis the story of an ageing, British popstar, still fighting for relevance some seventeen years after his star momentarily twinkled.
