The cast<\/a> got their pulses racing in the sports day challenge before fan favourite couple Davide Sanclimenti<\/a> and Ekin-Su Cu\u0308lcu\u0308log\u0306lu<\/a><\/span>\u00a0finally made things official (sort of).<\/span><\/p>\n The Italian put his cooking skills to good use and whipped up a special tiramisu, complete with a romantic message.<\/span><\/p>\n Things quickly took a turn, though, when the results of the public vote came in, and the two least compatible couples had to leave the villa immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n Missed out on the action? You can watch Sunday\u2019s episode on catch-<\/span>up, or get up to speed with all the drama from episode 49 with our full recap.<\/span><\/p>\n After Danica Taylor<\/a> chose to pair up with new boy Jamie Allen<\/a> in the previous episode\u2019s recoupling, bombshell Nathalia Campos<\/a> was left with no choice but to team up with Reece Ford<\/a> (who\u2019d had his eye on Danica too). During a quick chat on the beanbags, the new couple agreed that they\u2019d be open to getting to know one another.<\/span><\/p>\n Danica, meanwhile, headed off for a debrief with friend Indiyah Polack<\/a>, and explained that she\u2019d felt a more authentic connection with Jamie, before heading off to clear the air with Reece.<\/span><\/p>\n Tasha Ghouri<\/a>\u00a0and Andrew Le Page<\/a>\u2019s relationship appeared to be going from strength to strength, as the pair\u2019s conversation turned to marriage, with Tasha asking her love interest what he would think if she wore a black wedding dress to walk down the aisle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When Andrew joked that she would have \u201cat least four years\u201d to wait for a proposal, Tasha said she was \u201cpretty sure\u201d that he would end up asking her \u201csooner than that\u201d if things continued to go well between them.<\/span><\/p>\n With the competition now in its final stages, Tasha and Andrew weren\u2019t the only couple to be thinking about their futures together, with Luca Bish<\/a> asking Ekin-Su whether she would consider moving up to Manchester to be closer to Davide.<\/span><\/p>\n Ekin-Su played it typically cool, noting that she\u2019d have to see how things go outside of the Love Island villa.<\/span><\/p>\n Later saw the return of the classic sports day challenge, with the islanders divided into two teams to take part in old school activities like a three-legged race, egg and spoon race and a hotly-contested tug of war.<\/span><\/p>\n Eventually the blue team, headed up by captain Paige Thorne<\/a>, were victorious.<\/span><\/p>\n Davide then proved that he was capable of romantic gestures after all when he asked Ekin-Su to be \u201cexclusive\u201d \u2013 through the medium of tiramisu.<\/span><\/p> He invited her over to the mini fire pit, where Dami Hope<\/a> then appeared holding a tray of the sweet treat, with the words \u201cSei mia\u201d (\u201cBe mine\u201d in Italian) written in chocolate. \u201cIf you eat it, it means yes,\u201d Davide told a genuinely surprised Ekin-Su, who tried some of the dessert before announcing to the villa: \u201cWe\u2019re exclusive, I guess!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Love wasn\u2019t in the air for everyone though, as Nathalia decided to admit to Reece that she didn\u2019t see things working out romantically for them, and that they\u2019d probably be better off as friends.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Adam Collard<\/a> then received a text telling all the islanders to gather around the firepit, where they learned that the public had been voting for the most compatible couple \u2013 and that the two couples deemed least compatible would be booted off the island immediately.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The three couples with the fewest votes were the three newest pairings in the villa: Danica and Jamie, Reese and Nathalia and Deji Adeniyi and Lacey Edwards<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Eventually, Danica and Jamie were revealed to be safe, leaving Reece, Nathalia, Deji and Lacey to say their goodbyes to their fellow islanders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n New episodes of Love Island air at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub every\u00a0day except Saturday.
