From Movie Night and Snog Marry Pie, to last night\u2019s baby challenge<\/a>, the producers aren\u2019t holding back when it comes to Love Island classics \u2013 but there\u2019s still one tradition that is yet to happen.<\/p>\n Of course, we\u2019re talking about the Meet the Parents episode, which sees the remaining islanders\u2019 families pay a visit to the villa to formally meet their child\u2019s new love \u2013 and while usually this is a positive experience, in the past some parents haven\u2019t been afraid to say what they really think.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re wondering when this Love Island staple is going to happen, then we\u2019ve got you covered \u2013 read on for everything we know so far about the Meet the Parents episode.<\/p> While ITV2 is yet to confirm exactly when the islanders\u2019 parents will be paying a visit to the villa, we have a good idea of when it could happen.<\/p>\n Judging by previous seasons, the Meet the Parents episode has typically happened either one or two days before the final.<\/p>\n During both seasons 5 and 7, the parents entered the villa on the day before the final, while for season 6, it was two days before the final.<\/p>\n Therefore, we\u2019re likely to watch the contestants\u2019 families make an appearance on the show either in tomorrow\u2019s episode (Friday 29th July)\u00a0<\/strong>or on\u00a0Sunday 31st July.<\/strong><\/p>\n As for who will be visiting, Gemma Owen<\/a>\u2018s dad \u2013 Michael Owen \u2013 has confirmed that he won\u2019t be taking part in the Meet the Parents episode<\/a>, with the footballer saying: \u201cMy wife will do that duty. I\u2019ll represent the horses and she\u2019ll represent the daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n Love Island airs at 9pm nightly on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
