Having previously seen a teaser<\/a> of Ana de Armas\u2019s new Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde<\/a>, we\u2019ve now got a full trailer to feast our eyes on, courtesy of Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new trailer finds Marilyn telling Bobby Cannavale\u2019s character how she got her start in movies, explaining the difference between Marilyn and the real her, Norma Jeane Mortenson.<\/p>\n

In the trailer, a distressed looking de Armas says \u201cI can\u2019t face doing another scene with Marilyn Monroe,\u201d before saying: \u201cMarilyn Monroe only exists on the screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can watch the full trailer right here now.<\/p>\n\n<p>The trailer also gives us our first look at the supporting cast, including Cannavale and Adrien Brody, while we see Marilyn in a spiral, seemingly struggling with her fame and the media\u2019s obsession with her.<\/p>\n<p>De Armas has previously spoken about this disconnect between Marilyn and the real Norma Jeane in an interview with <a href=\"\/\/netflixqueue.com\/blonde-first-look"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Netflix<\/a>, saying that director Andrew Dominik \u201cwanted the world to experience what it actually felt like to not only be Marilyn, but also Norma Jeane. I found that to be the most daring, unapologetic, and feminist take on her story that I had ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The film is based on Joyce Carol Oates\u2019s novel of the same name, which details an interpretation of the interior life of Marilyn Monroe. Back in 2020, Oates <a href=\"\/\/twitter.com\/JoyceCarolOates\/status\/1292829813070323712?s=20&t=LqGpenVp6dKtBUBWIlNt8w"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">said on Twitter<\/a> that she had \u201cseen the rough cut of Andrew Dominick\u2019s adaptation & it is startling, brilliant, very disturbing & [perhaps most surprisingly] an utterly \u2018feminist\u2019 interpretation.\u201d<\/p> <p>The official synopsis for the film, which releases on Netflix on 23rd September, states that it \u201cboldly reimagines the life of one of Hollywood\u2019s most enduring icons, Marilyn Monroe\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It continues: \u201cFrom her volatile childhood as Norma Jeane, through her rise to stardom and romantic entanglements, Blonde blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening split between her public and private selves.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\""editor-content\" mb-lg=\"\" hidden-print=\"\" js-piano-locked-content=\"\">\n<p><strong>Blonde is available to stream on Netflix from Friday 23rd September.
