The BBC has released the first trailer for four-part drama Marriage<\/a>, teasing Nicola Walker and Sean Bean as a long-time couple approaching their 27th wedding anniversary and confirming the show\u2019s August release date.<\/p>\n

The drama, written and directed by Mum\u2019s Stefan Golaszewski, follows Ian (Game of Thrones<\/a>\u2018 Bean) and Emma (Unforgotten<\/a>\u2018s Walker) as they explore the hopes and fears of their marriage, from insecurities and jealousies to funny, moving moments.<\/p>\n

In the teaser trailer, we meet Ian and Emma as snapshots from their relationship play out on-screen. One minute they\u2019re arguing over jacket potatoes on an airplane, while the next, they\u2019re cheering on their daughter Jessica (Mood\u2019s Chantelle Alle) at a concert.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwenty-seven years on Thursday. Everything that\u2019s happened. Good times, bad times,\u201d Ian says before we\u2019re shown the couple arguing over Ian\u2019s suspicions around the intentions of Emma\u2019s boss Jamie (Henry Lloyd-Hughes).<\/p>\n\n<p>The drama, which will air on BBC One on Sunday 14th August, also stars New Tricks\u2019 James Bolam as Emma\u2019s father Gerry, while the trailer also teases Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Chantelle Alle in their roles.<\/p>\n<p>BBC One has teased that the drama is set to explore \u201cthe risks and the gifts of a long-term intimate relationship\u201d, adding: \u201cSometimes funny, sometimes moving, always revealing.\u201d<\/p> <p>The broadcaster released <a href=\"\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/drama\/nicola-walker-sean-bean-marriage-images-newsupdate\/"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">first-look images for the upcoming drama<\/a> back in March, showing Bean and Walker shopping together in a supermarket, hugging in the kitchen and loading up a car.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marriage will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday 14th August at 9pm.
