There\u2019s a big day for Marlon Dingle (played by Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) as the pair prepare for their upcoming nuptials on Emmerdale.<\/p>\n

On the day of their joint proposal, Marlon suffered from a devastating stroke, meaning it was up in the air whether he\u2019d make his wedding day.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s a happier time for the pair as they prepare commit to lifelong vows in a touching episode.<\/p>\n

On top of the wedding, the special episode also tackles elements surrounding Faith\u2019s (Sally Dexter) cancer diagnosis, Priya\u2019s (Fiona Wade) body confidence issues and Chas\u2019 (Lucy Pargeter) affair with dangerous Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).<\/p>\n

Speaking to press including RadioTimes.com<\/a> at a recent visit to Emmerdale, Charnock and Henry spoke about the emotions surrounding their characters\u2019 happy day.<\/p>

\u201cI think the script was brilliantly written and he emotion came naturally for us when it was needed,\u201d Henry said, of the tear-jerking moments of the episode.<\/p>\n

Charnock added: \u201cIt was quite an intense atmosphere as there\u2019s intense storylines all over. I found it relentlessly moving all the way through with the Faith stuff that\u2019s incredible\u00a0 <\/span>and the Priya storyline too. It was very easy to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the standout moments of the episode comes from Marlon working hard to walk down the aisle \u2013 a moment Rhona and fans didn\u2019t expect.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the touching scene, Charnock said he had an advisor on set who helped him with what stage of recovery he would be at in his journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s really helpful,\u201d he admitted. \u201cShe\u2019s quite strict as well, especially with the walk down the aisle. She kept saying, \u2018no, do it again\u2019, and that was brilliant. When I came out, she said I\u2019d done it brilliantly so that\u2019s perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n
