Mr Hugo Hammond has really shaken the Love Island<\/a><\/span> table, following his epic recoupling speech which saw Chloe Burrows saved from a brutal dumping after Toby decided to couple up with new girl Abigail.<\/p>\n

Hugo told the other islanders the girl he was choosing to couple up with didn\u2019t \u201cdeserve the way she\u2019s been treated in the past 24 hours\u201d which caught many \u2013 especially Toby \u2013 by surprise.<\/p>\n

So, what else did Hugo say in this speech? Does that mean he\u2019s into Chloe? And what\u2019s going to happen between him and Toby now?<\/p>\n

What did Hugo say in his recoupling speech?<\/h2>\n

Hugo shocked the villa when he decided to save Chloe at the recoupling. It comes after Chloe\u2019s partner Toby decided to couple up with Abigail, which put the marketing executive, 25, at risk.<\/p>\n

It was just left with Hugo to decide who he wanted to save out of Georgia and Chloe, and he decided to go with his pal Chlo as he did\u2019t like the way she\u2019d been treated recently.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI would like to couple up with this girl because not only is she out of this world beautiful, she\u2019s super intelligent, she\u2019s funny and whenever I\u2019m with her, I\u2019m definitely at my happiest.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m completely honest, she doesn\u2019t deserve to be treated how she has this past 24 hours and I firmly believe that this test stuff is complete bulls***.\u00a0 You deserve someone who is honest, that communicates with you, and who knows what could happen? Stranger things have happened. So, the girl I would like to couple up with is\u2026 Chloe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is Hugo still on Love Island?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hugo Hammond is definitely still on Love Island. You might not have heard much from him on the most recent episode, as the focus was mainly on Teddy and his dates, but the PE Teacher is definitely in the villa. And with the boys next to decide who they want to couple up with, Hugo will be choosing which lady to save this week.<\/p>\n

Why did Hugo want to take part in Love Island?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Meeting new people has been difficult for all of us with a year of lockdowns and zoom dates, so it seems Hugo entered the villa as an opportunity to meet people and get back onto the dating scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been single for a while now,\u201d he said before entering the villa. \u201cWith the current climate, it\u2019s been really hard to get back into dating. I saw it as an opportunity to have an amazing fun summer and put myself back out there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What does Hugo do for work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hugo is a secondary-school PE teacher, and he absolutely loves inspiring kids to get into sport. \u201cI love all my sports. It\u2019s great to be able to pass on that enthusiasm to be physically active to the younger generation and hopefully, they feel the same about me teaching them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But will the kids be watching? \u201cThe younger lot I teach I imagine might not be watching it,\u201d he said. \u201cThen a lot of my seniors that I was working with broke up at half term with the GCSE and BTEC. So, I hadn\u2019t seen them for a few weeks anyway. I\u2019m sure they\u2019re going to be shocked when they do see me on there, for those that do watch it!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully, they\u2019ll support me and they\u2019ll have a laugh with it,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for going back to teaching, it sounds like Hugo isn\u2019t throwing his eggs into any particular basket right now. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely something I want to stay connected with. I absolutely love my job,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was my training year this year, so I\u2019m not affiliated to a specific school for when I go back in September. So I\u2019ll just have to see what happens from this great opportunity, and then go from there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Who did Hugo play cricket for?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hugo has represented his country, playing cricket for England PD (Physical Disability) around the world in places such as Bangladesh and Dubai.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sporty singleton was born with Congenital Talipes Equino-Varus, which is where a baby has their feet pointed down and inwards at birth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about his condition, Hugo said: \u201cI had lots of operations when I was a kid. You can only really tell when I walk barefoot. I\u2019ve got a really short achilles heel. I walk slightly on my tip toes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

What kind of dater is Hugo?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hugo\u2019s dating past has been a mix of relationships and playing the field or, as he put it: \u201cI\u2019m a relationship person, with bits and bobs in between.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy past relationship was just over two years long, I\u2019ve had a couple of other relationships in my past but not as serious,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I went to university and I had a load of fun there.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hugo says his most recent relationship ended at the start of this year. \u201cLockdown and distance \u2013 put those two together and that\u2019s a combination that wrecks relationships.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for whether he\u2019ll follow in the footsteps of Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, and Eyal Booker and Megan Barton-Hanson, and have sex on TV, he\u2019s keeping an open mind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something I\u2019ve thought about but I\u2019m not going to say yes, I\u2019m not going to say no, because I don\u2019t know who I\u2019m going to meet,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to have that connection with anyone on there\u2026 So I guess we\u2019ll have to wait and see.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Hugo looking for in a partner?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 24-year-old says he\u2019s not into fakery \u2013 whether that\u2019s looks or personality \u2013 and he\u2019s after someone he can \u201cbe myself around\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He also can\u2019t stand people who are constantly on their phones, so he may well be in luck in the villa, where contestants are unable to access the internet on their mobiles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of all, he\u2019s looking for someone that makes him laugh, whose company he enjoys. \u201cI\u2019m looking for someone that I can be myself around and just have a fantastic summer with,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
