The Apex Legends Season 14 release date is nearly here, and it won\u2019t be long before the game is inundated with changes \u2014 you can expect a new character, a big pile of patch notes and a bunch of upgrades to the Kings Canyon map.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, folks. Respawn Entertainment\u2019s much-loved multiplayer online shooter will soon get another big update in the shape of Apex Legends Season 14, which the developers have titled \u2018Hunted\u2019.<\/p>\n

Apex Legends Season 14 release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Apex Legends Season 14 release date is\u00a0Tuesday 9th August 2022<\/strong>, the developers from Respawn have confirmed.<\/p>\n

The exact launch time for Apex Legends Season 14 is yet to be revealed, but judging by past form we would hope to see the new content dropping at roughly\u00a05pm\u00a0<\/strong>in the UK.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll need to update our list of Apex Legends characters<\/a> soon, because a new legend will be introduced to the game to mark the start of Apex Legends Season 14.<\/p>\n

Nicknamed Vantage, the new legend\u2019s real name is Xiomara \u2018Mara\u2019 Contreras. She\u2019s a skilled sniper who grew up on the planet P\u00e1gos and \u201clearned the hard way to become the ultimate survivor\u201d.<\/p>\n

In terms of her special moves, she\u2019s got three. Her Tactical is called Echo Relocation, her Passive is called Spotter\u2019s Lens, and her Ultimate is called Sniper\u2019s Mark.<\/p>

Apex Legends Season 14 patch notes & level cap increase<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Early Apex Legends Season 14 patch notes are in abundance here, with Respawn dropping a bountiful harvest of details ahead of the update\u2019s release.<\/p>\n

On the game\u2019s official website<\/a> (click that link to see it for yourself), Respawn has promised a \u201creforged\u201d Kings Canyon map, an increased level cap, and of course a new battle pass for Season 14. And on top of that, the developers have also promised that \u201cmany bugs and bad end circles\u201d will be fixed in the update.<\/p>\n

The new Apex Legends level cap might be the biggest benefit for long-term players. Allowing people to loop through levels one to 500 four times, this change will essentially increase the level cap in the game to a staggering 2,000.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s already a whole blog post<\/a> from Respawn about the Kings Canyon map changes, which covers everything from new points of interest to lighting upgrades.<\/p>\n

The main new point of interest is called Relic, which aims to stop the map feeling small, as well as trying to \u201cbring back gameplay that many players loved from the original Kings Canyon, but with a POI more appropriately sized for the overall health of the map.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pre-existing points of interest including Cage, Hillside and Relay have been tweaked as well, which should help to make the Kings Canyon map feel fresh. There have also been changes to rotations and loot drops, as well as a \u201cbig upgrade\u201d to the map\u2019s lighting and visuals. You\u2019ll also notice a new raised walkway, two new sets of stairs and a pair of new zip lines.<\/p>\n
