Channel 4 has released its first trailer for Dominic Savage\u2019s <\/span>I Am<\/span> anthology series, returning for a second season and starring Suranne Jones (Vigil<\/a>), Letitia Wright (Black Panther<\/a>), and Lesley Manville (The Crown<\/a>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Each instalment features a different lead actress, who collaborates on the episode\u2019s creation alongside Savage,<\/span> tackling issues that have a personal resonance to them.<\/span><\/p>\n In the trailer, we see Jones, Wright and Manville in their respective roles as Victoria, Danielle, and Maria, although plot details remain scarce.<\/p>\n Jones said, \u201cI\u2019m delighted to be involved in the next series of I Am. Dominic always tells important stories with great sensitivity and the process so far has been wonderfully collaborative and open which is something I thrive on.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t wait to make what will be a very personal and thought-provoking piece and I\u2019m thrilled to be telling this story with Ashley. I hope it really speaks to people and helps continue the important discussions around mental health.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The first series of I Am starred Samantha Morton (<\/span>Harlots<\/span><\/a>), Gemma Chan (<\/span>Humans<\/span><\/a>) and Vicky McClure (<\/span>Line of Duty<\/span><\/a>), with Morton\u2019s performance earning her a television BAFTA nod for Best Leading Actress.<\/span><\/p>\n Read on for everything you need to know about I Am season two.<\/p>\n There\u2019s no confirmed release date yet, but we\u2019ll keep this page updated with any news.<\/p>\n We don\u2019t have many details yet, only that Suranne Jones will play a character called Victoria in her standalone episode, while Wright and Manville will play Danielle and Maria, respectively.<\/p>\n In the trailer, Victoria appears to be a mother struggling with mental health issues, while Danielle and Maria both have very different relationship issues.<\/p>\n Dominic Savage says, \u201cI am looking forward greatly to making another series of female led stories with such amazing and incredibly talented actors, starting with Suranne.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt is a privilege to be telling such personal and important stories in this unique and collaborative way.
