John Travolta and other members of the Grease cast have paid tribute to Olivia Newton-John after the legendary singer and actress died aged 73.<\/p>\n

Travolta \u2013 who famously played Danny Zuko to Newton-John\u2019s Sandy \u2013 posted an emotional message to his Instagram<\/a> page shortly after the news broke.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better,\u201d he wrote. \u201cYour impact was incredible. I love you so much.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Stockard Channing, who played Rizzo in the classic movie musical, shared a statement to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> in which she said she\u2019d never \u201cknown a lovelier human being\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOlivia was the essence of summer,\u201d she said. \u201cHer sunniness, her warmth and her grace are what always come to mind when I think of her. I will miss her enormously.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dinah Manoff, who played Marty \u2013 another of the Pink Ladies \u2013 told People<\/a>, \u201cAs many will tell you, Olivia Newton-John was one of the kindest, most generous souls ever to grace the earth, and I was one lucky Pink Lady to have spent time with her during the filming of\u00a0Grease.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe brought light and laughter wherever she went. My deepest condolences to her family and friends during their time of great loss.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the film\u2019s director Randal Kleiser said, \u201cI\u2019m heartbroken. She was one of a kind, and so very kind.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor over four decades of our friendship she exuded nothing but love to everyone she met. Olivia was exactly the way you imagined her. I will miss her forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several other big names have also joined in the tributes, including Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Star Trek legend George Takei and pop icon Kylie Minogue.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince I was 10 years old, I have loved and looked up to Olivia Newton John,\u201d the latter wrote on Twitter. \u201cAnd, I always will.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was, and always will be, an inspiration to me in so many, many ways. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. x ONJ4EVER.\u201d<\/p>\n
