The trio join previously announced cast members\u00a0<\/span>Juno Temple, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh\u00a0<\/span>in the line-up.<\/p>\n True to its anthology form, Fargo<\/a> has told stories in different decades each season.<\/p>\n The Coen brothers-inspired series, developed by Noah Hawley, was officially renewed for a fifth season back in February 2022, with a contemporary kidnapping storyline set in 2019.<\/p>\n Season 4, which premiered back in September 2020, was\u00a0set in the criminal underworld of Kansas City in\u00a01950, starring Chris Rock as the leader of a local crime family.<\/p>\n The press release for season 5\u2019s plot revealed as little as possible, with FX asking: \u201cWhen is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn\u2019t yours?\u201d<\/p>\n In addition, FX chairman \u200b\u200bJohn Landgraf recently teased\u00a0<\/i>that the upcoming instalment is \u201cparticularly comedic this year\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIt\u2019s always a balance between how dramatic versus comedic it is, and this is the more comedic end of the spectrum.
