After beginning the season as Paxton\u2019s girlfriend and ending it with two break-ups under her belt, we watch in the final moments of the finale as she turns up at Ben Gross\u2019s door with a coupon he had previously gifted her for \u201cOne free boink\u201d.<\/p>\n
With viewers still reeling after seeing the pair kiss, Ben\u2019s bedroom door closes and the credits start to roll \u2013\u00a0and we\u2019re not the only ones left speechless. Never Have I Ever star Jaren Lewison has revealed he was also surprised by the season 3 ending.<\/p>\n
Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> in an exclusive interview, Lewison, who stars as Ben in the comedy, said: \u201cI think I read [the ending] and I was like, \u2018Oh my God, this makes so much sense,\u2019 and at the same time, \u2018Holy f-ing f!\u2019 I was like, \u2018No way.’\u201d<\/p>\n Lewison added that he immediately texted his co-star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who stars as Devi, after reading the final page first.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a really bad habit of skipping to the end, to look at whatever that cliffhanger might be. It\u2019s terrible and I need to stop doing it but I physically can\u2019t help myself.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I scrolled all the way down and we had gotten it in our inbox for maybe a minute and a half and I texted Maitreyi and I was like, \u2018You\u2019re not gonna believe this friggin\u2019 thing.\u2019 And she was like, \u2018How the hell did you read that that quickly?’\u201d<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cWe spoke about it afterwards and I think we were both really excited because it\u2019s definitely feeling like it\u2019s been a long time coming for these two characters.\u201d<\/p> Lewison went on to say that while it seems as though Devi and Ben may have finally gotten their happily ever after, \u201cit\u2019s still up in the air\u201d for the pair.<\/p>\n \u201cI know what happens in season 4 because we\u2019ve already shot it. But for fans, maybe they did. Maybe they didn\u2019t, we have no idea,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd that door closes and we\u2019re gonna have to wait to find out for that season 4 reveal. And I think that that\u2019s also just like so much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Never Have I Ever is set to return for a fourth and final season, with filming on the episodes having been completed earlier this year.<\/p>\n Never Have I Ever season 1-3 are streaming now on\u00a0Netflix<\/a>.
