The Mirror<\/a> has reported that Jodie Whittaker\u2019s swan-song episode will see her wearing \u201cmany items worn in the TARDIS over the past six decades\u201d, including the Second Doctor\u2019s checked trousers, the Fourth Doctor\u2019s scarf, the fifth doctor\u2019s celery, the Seventh Doctor\u2019s question mark jumper and the Tenth Doctor\u2019s tie.<\/p>\n A source reportedly told The Mirror that \u201cgetting Jodie \u2013 and some others \u2013 to wear some of the best-loved items from the Doctors\u2019 wardrobes over the decades, seems a fitting and perfect way to mark the BBC\u2019s 100 year anniversary.\u201d<\/p>\n The BBC declined to comment when approached by RadioTimes.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Mirror has also reported that the special will feature \u201ca host of cameo appearances\u201d by former friends and companions, to go alongside the already announced Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred, reprising their roles as Tegan and Ace respectively.<\/p>\n This will reportedly play out in the form of a party arranged by Bradley Walsh\u2019s character Graham O\u2019Brien, who The Mirror say is also returning for the special.<\/p>\n The Centenary Special will not only act as the end of Whittaker and showrunner Chris Chibnall\u2019s era of the show<\/a>\u00a0but will also form part of the BBC\u2019s own celebration, marking 100 years of the broadcasting service<\/a>.<\/p> Confirmed appearances in the special already include Sacha Dhawan\u2019s Master, the Daleks, the Cybermen, Jacob Anderson\u2019s Vinder and Jemma Redgrave\u2019s\u00a0Kate Stewart.<\/p>\n This follows David Tennant saying last weekend that he has already filmed with \u201cmany other people\u201d<\/a> than those who have been announced for next year\u2019s 60th Anniversary, suggesting we\u2019re in for a number of surprise appearances over the next couple of years.<\/p>\n Doctor Who is available to stream on\u00a0BBC iPlayer<\/a>\u00a0with episodes of the classic series also available on BritBox \u2013 you can sign up for a\u00a07-day free trial here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Check out more of our\u00a0Sci-Fi<\/a>\u00a0coverage or visit our\u00a0TV Guide<\/a>\u00a0to see what\u2019s on tonight.<\/strong><\/p>\n The latest issue of Radio Times magazine is on sale now \u2013\u00a0subscribe now<\/a>\u00a0and get the next 12 issues for only \u00a31.
