So, the much-anticipated prequel for Game of Thrones has finally arrived.<\/p>\n

House of the Dragon<\/a> precedes the events of the hit HBO fantasy series by two centuries but contains much of the same scheming, violence and passion in the battle for the Iron Throne.<\/p>\n

As a succession debate emerges over who should sit on the throne following the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), factions emerge that threaten to do what House Targaryen has always feared: bring about its own destruction.<\/p>\n

So, what exactly happened in the first episode of House of the Dragon? Be warned:\u00a0there are spoilers ahead.<\/strong><\/p>
