While the original Game of Thrones theme did play during the end credits sequence, many fans have been left wondering why House of the Dragon didn\u2019t have an intro to lead into the events.<\/p>\n
Read on for everything we know about the title sequence\u2019s absence and when fans can expect one to debut later in the series.<\/a><\/p>\n House of the Dragon<\/a> co-creators Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik\u00a0have explained why the title sequence was something they wanted to save for the second episode of the series.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a creative choice,\u201d the duo explained to ET<\/a>. \u201cIt seemed important that once the curtain went up so to speak, having a title sequence felt like an indulgence. We wanted to get on and tell the story.\u201d<\/p>\n House of the Dragon viewers needn\u2019t worry then: they\u2019ll be treated to a new intro in episode 2, which is set to land on HBO on Sunday 28th August<\/a>\u00a0(or Monday 29th August in the UK).<\/p>\n According to a\u00a0report by Vulture<\/a>,\u00a0the new title sequence will arrive courtesy of composer Ramin Djawadi, who has\u00a0returned to score the new series after bringing his iconic sounds to Game of Thrones and HBO\u2019s other hit franchise Westworld<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Djawadi\u00a0previously promised that the music for House of the Dragon will keep \u201cthe DNA\u201d of Game of Thrones.<\/p>\n \u201c[W]e very much wanted to keep the DNA alive for\u00a0House of the Dragon\u00a0from the original show,\u201d he told\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will hear themes that we remember from the original show, but because it\u2019s all new characters, this is 200 years before, there is a ton of new material I\u2019ve written, a lot of new themes that we will hear.\u201d<\/p>\n House of the Dragon is available from 22nd August exclusively on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW \u2013 <\/strong>sign up for Sky TV her<\/a>e<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n With an Entertainment Membership<\/a>, fans can currently bundle together NOW Entertainment and Cinema Membership for \u00a314.99 per month for six months.
