The actor, who stars as Ted Hastings in the Jed Mercurio series, has revealed that he\u2019s \u201choping something might happen next year\u201d with Line of Duty.<\/p>\n
Speaking to this week\u2019s issue of Radio Times magazine<\/strong>, Dunbar said that he would \u201creally like to\u201d return to the award-winning drama.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s been talk about a movie or a four-parter or two 90 minutes,\u201d he teased. \u201cWe\u2019d love to do it again. I\u2019m really hoping something might happen next year.\u201d<\/p> He added that there\u2019s \u201csomething in Jed\u2019s laptop \u2013 a couple of templates as to how things could go\u201d, while he regularly speaks to his co-stars about working together again.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re always talking about stuff. Vicky [McClure] and her fella Jonny Owen have their own production company now. We\u2019d love to do something all together one day.\u201d<\/p>\n The Line of Duty star speaks to RadioTimes magazine<\/strong> this week for his upcoming role in\u00a0Ridley<\/a> \u2013 a new ITV drama in which he plays the titular detective inspector,\u00a0who comes out of retirement to solve crime.<\/p>\n Dunbar teased Ridley in an interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, revealing that while the detective is \u201ctragic\u201d and \u201ccomplicated\u201d, viewers will \u201cimmediately warm to him\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n As for how his new role compares to Line of Duty\u2019s Hastings, Dunbar revealed that he gets to \u201cplay a lot more\u201d of himself in Ridley<\/a>.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ridley will air on ITV on Sunday 28th August 2022.\u00a0<\/strong>If you\u2019re looking for more to watch, check out our\u00a0TV Guide<\/a>.
