As part of a panel at the Edinburgh TV Festival 2022, Katie Rawcliffe \u2013 Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV \u2013 was asked whether the broadcaster was still looking to commission stripped entertainment formats, in which episodes are aired each night of the week.<\/p>\n
She noted that ITV\u2019s I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026Get Me Out of Here!<\/a> is \u201csort of the king and queen of strips\u201d and said it would be \u201camazing to find another one of those\u201d.<\/p>\n When asked whether this meant that Walk the Line and The Games, both of which were stripped, were therefore not coming back, Rawcliffe confirmed that \u201cthey aren\u2019t coming back, no\u201d.<\/p>\n Both shows aired for only one season with all episodes shown across one week on ITV. Walk the Line aired in December 2021 and The Games aired earlier this year.<\/p>\n Walk the Line was co-produced by Simon Cowell\u2019s company Syco and was a music competition featuring panellists\u00a0Gary Barlow,\u00a0Craig David,\u00a0Dawn French\u00a0and\u00a0Alesha Dixon, while the show was hosted by Maya Jama.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, The Games was a reboot of an early 2000s reality sports competition show, in which celebrities competed in Olympic-style events. The new version was hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff and was won by Wes Nelson and Chelcee Grimes.<\/p> The news comes as we continue to get more details regarding the Big Brother revival.<\/p>\n Last week, Emma Willis revealed<\/a> exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> that she won\u2019t be returning to host, while the show\u2019s narrator Marcus Bentley<\/a> has said that Rylan Clark would be \u201cperfect\u201d<\/a> to fill the role.<\/p>\n Read more coverage from the Edinburgh International TV Festival 2022:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Games and Walk The Line are both available to watch now on ITV Hub.
