Chatting to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press ahead of season 2\u2019s release, he said: \u201cI think it\u2019s possible. I think everything that happens in The<\/span> Capture<\/span> is possible. Clearly, it\u2019s far-fetched, like any good story is, but it\u2019s not sci fi.<\/p>\n \u201cThe<\/span> line we try to tow in the<\/span> show is everything that happens is technically possible.\u201d<\/p>\n In the first episode, MP and security minister Isaac Turner (Paapa Essiedu) falls victim to deepfake manipulation. A fabricated version of the politician appears on Newsnight to announce a <\/span>drastic U-turn on his stance on Chinese AI technology while the real Isaac Turner watches on from afar, horrified and powerless.<\/span><\/p>\n Essiedu echoed Chanan\u2019s statement and went on to say that that was part of the draw for him: \u201c<\/span>It doesn\u2019t feel too far away from what we experience on a day-to-day. I don\u2019t think that events in the<\/span> show are too fictional or too far away from being true.<\/p>\n \u201cI really do enjoy projects that feel like the<\/span>y comment directly on, at least in a very close way to what we go through on a day-to-day basis.\u201d<\/p>\n Looking ahead to the rest of the series, executive producer Rosie Alison teased: \u201cIt really builds and goes somewhere.
