Kristen Bell will make a guest appearance in the animated series’ first ever fully musical outing. <\/p>
From season four\u2019s Marge vs. the Monorail to season six\u2019s Homer the Great, countless classic Simpsons episodes<\/a> have featured catchy singalong tunes \u2013 but now the long-running animated series is set to debut its first ever all-musical episode.<\/p>\n The season 33 premiere will be titled The Star of The Backstage, it was revealed at the show\u2019s Comic-Con@Home panel yesterday (24th July).<\/p>\n The Simpsons\u2019 executive producer Matt Selman described the instalment as \u201cthe most musical\u00a0episode we\u2019ve ever done\u201d with \u201calmost wall-to-wall music.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s like a Broadway musical of an episode with all original songs,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n The episode will see Marge looking to restage her old high school musical, only to discover \u201cthat her high school memories aren\u2019t what she thought they were.\u201d<\/p> The Good Place star Kristen Bell will take on an unusual guest role in the episode, featuring as Marge\u2019s singing voice. \u201cWe all love Marge\u2019s voice [Julie Kavner],\u201d said Selman. \u201cbut this is the singing voice that\u2019s different, let\u2019s just say.\u201d<\/p>\n Bell\u2019s influence on the episode doesn\u2019t end there, since its premise was inspired by the format of Disney Plus<\/a> reality series Encore which she hosted.
