The sister show to the wildly successful Masked Singer<\/a> debuted last year, and is now back for round two, with a new group of 12 celebrities getting dressed up in outrageous disguises and performing for the judging panel.<\/span><\/p>\n This time, Peter Crouch<\/a> will be joining Davina McCall<\/a>, Jonathan Ross<\/a> and former Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> pro Oti Mabuse<\/a>, and all four will be tasked with working out who\u2019s behind each outfit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This time, the celebrities are \u201ceven more impressive and harder to guess\u201d, Ross has promised, with a line-up filled with \u201ccharacters that the kids fall in love with and some really cool characters that I think the grown ups will love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Among them will be Odd Socks, a cheery-looking creature who\u2019ll be putting their best foot forward to compete against the likes of Astronaut, Candlestick and Scissors, as well as the show\u2019s first double act, Pillar and Post.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Here\u2019s what we know so far about the Masked Dancer contestant.<\/span><\/p>\n Who could be hidden under all that colourful laundry? Odd Socks\u2019 costume certainly isn\u2019t giving anything away, and that\u2019s entirely deliberate, according to McCall, to make the guessing game more difficult.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s \u201cextremely clever, the way that they\u2019ve been designed and made so that people are completely unrecognisable,\u201d she said. \u201c<\/span>You can\u2019t tell if it\u2019s padded in places, you can\u2019t tell if a costume is very thick or if it\u2019s super thin. You don\u2019t know anything about that person\u2019s physique, it doesn\u2019t really give you any clues.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Is Odd Socks famously messy? Are they known for their fancy footwork? At this stage, we can only speculate, but we\u2019ll find out more when the first episode airs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p> You can catch the opening instalment of The Masked Dancer on Saturday 3rd September at 6:30pm on ITV, when we\u2019ll get our first proper clues about Odd Socks\u2019 identity.
