The Oscar-nominated actress, who\u2019ll be playing Princess Margaret in The Crown\u2019s upcoming two seasons<\/a>, spoke about the final series on The One Show last night.<\/p>\n When asked whether filming for the season 6 had begun, Manville said: \u201cYes, we\u2019re about to start.<\/p>\n \u201cOh it\u2019s great, it\u2019s a fantastic series to work on. Every department is people at their best \u2013 costumes, hair and make-up, writing, directors, actors. It\u2019s a fantastic series to be involved in.\u201d<\/p>\n While the upcoming series of The Crown will follow the Royal Family throughout the \u201990s and early 2000s, Manville went back to the 1950s for the titular role in Anthony Fabian film Mrs Harris Goes to Paris \u2013 a performance she found much easier than playing Princess Margaret.<\/p>\n Comparing the role of Mrs Harris \u2013 a widowed cleaning lady from London \u2013 to Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s sister, Manville said: \u201cIt\u2019s only because I\u2019m a working class girl from Brighton so the territory of Mrs Harris is kind of in my bones.<\/p>\n \u201cWhereas the other end of the social scale \u2013 and let\u2019s face it, you couldn\u2019t get more aristocratic than the Royal Family \u2013 is obviously not something that comes like that to me, but listen, that\u2019s what gets me up in the morning.<\/p>\n \u201cI never want to play the same sort of characters so that kind of chameleon range of parts that I\u2019m offered suits me fine, and I\u2019m very grateful.\u201d<\/p> Last week, news broke that The Crown had cast newcomers in the roles of Prince William and Kate Middleton for season 6<\/a>, with Ed McVey set to play William as a young adult and Meg Bellamy starring as a university-aged Kate.<\/p>\n Written by Peter Morgan, the penultimate series of The Crown is set to land on Netflix<\/a> in November, with Imelda Staunton making her debut as Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Crown is available to watch on Netflix<\/a>.
