The release date for Netflix<\/a>\u2018s Luckiest Girl Alive is fast approaching, and now we have a trailer for the film to prove it.<\/p>\n

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Jessica Knoll and produced by Reece Witherspoon, the film centres on a cut-throat New York woman (played by Mila Kunis) who is close to getting the so-called perfect life. That is, until her high school past comes back to haunt her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSoon I\u2019ll be an editor at the New York Times Magazine, and in six weeks I\u2019m getting married in a lavish but tasteful ceremony,\u201d Kunis\u2019s character Ani FaNelli says at the beginning of the trailer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s me and what part I invented,\u201d she later admits to her fianc\u00e9. \u201cSometimes I feel like a wind-up doll. Turn my key, and I will tell you exactly what you want to hear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Knoll also wrote the screenplay, and recently spoke out about the decision to adapt the novel herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was talk of another more established screenwriter doing it,\u201d she told Cosmopolitan<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cAnd it didn\u2019t work out. In the 11th hour, my agent was like, \u2018Just as a reminder, Jessica is really interested in writing the script.\u2019 Everyone realized it would be a real time suck to interview all these co-writers.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cSo I\u2019ve been working on the screenplay and I feel really good about it. I\u2019m in the groove again.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The film revolves around successful New Yorker Ani FaNelli\u00a0(Kunis) who appears to have it all: a successful journalism career and her dream wedding on the horizon.<\/p>\n
