Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford are soon returning to our screens for the fourth installment of the After franchise, with After Ever Happy<\/a> arriving on Amazon Prime Video<\/a> later in September.<\/p>\n

The film will follow the latest developments in the stormy romance between Hardin and Tessa as the pair look to navigate their turbulent relationship, once again based on a book of the same name by Anna Todd.<\/p>\n

But will this be the final chapter of their tale? Read on for everything you need to know.<\/p>

Will there be an After 5 movie?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Yes! Although at one stage it looked like After Ever Happy might be the final movie in the franchise, it was confirmed in August 2022 that a fifth film is also on the way.<\/p>\n

The latest film will be titled After Everything and filming has already wrapped on the project, as Hero Finnes Tiffin recently confirmed on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have just wrapped filming on the fifth After movie,\u201d the star wrote. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you too much about it just yet, but I can tell you that it will be called After Everything, and I cannot wait for you all to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

And this isn\u2019t the only upcoming film in the franchise \u2013 it was previously announced that not one but two-spin offs have been commissioned, each focusing on different characters from the movies.<\/p>\n

One of the new films will be a prequel loosely adapted from\u00a0Anna Todd\u2019s novel Before<\/a>, which focuses on Hardin\u2019s life before he met Tessa.<\/p>\n

And the other will be a sequel focusing on Tessa and Hardin\u2019s children Emery and Auden, as well as their cousin Addy, who are introduced in the epilogue of the After Ever Happy novel.<\/p>\n

No official release date has been revealed so far, but September 2023 seems like a good bet based on the release dates of the previous films in the franchise.<\/p>\n

Since the first film was released back in 2019, we\u2019ve seen one new entry in the franchise every September \u2013 so we\u2019d expect the latest instalment to follow the same pattern.<\/p>\n

That previous release pattern, coupled with the fact that production has already wrapped, certainly makes it seem extremely unlikely that fans will have to wait any longer than a year \u2013 but we\u2019ll keep this page updated should we catch wind of any news.<\/p>\n

After 5 cast\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Unsurprisingly, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford will both be reprising their lead roles in the new film \u2013 returning as Hardin Scott and Tessa Young respectively.<\/p>\n

There have been no confirmations regarding any further returns at this stage, but Chance Perdomo, Louise Lombard and Stephen Moyer are among those who seem likely to be back for the next instalment.<\/p>\n

That said, we can\u2019t be sure \u2013 this franchise has recast some key parts before, so we can\u2019t rule out the same thing happening again this time around.<\/p>\n

After 5 plot<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Interestingly, it looks like this new film will be the first time an entry in the franchise is not based on a novel by Anna Todd \u2013 given that the fifth book in her series has not yet been published.<\/p>\n

That said, the previous film ended on a different note to Todd\u2019s fourth novel anyway, and so the fifth film will likely pick up from the cliffhanger at the end of After Ever Happy.<\/p>\n

When we hear any more official plot details, we\u2019ll update this page accordingly.<\/p>\n
