Shot back-to-back with its sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two, he said it is an \u201cextraordinary experience\u201d in an exclusive interview.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely enormous. It\u2019s like Bond \u2013 in fact, it\u2019s bigger than Bond!\u201d he told RadioTimes.com<\/strong> at the opening night of Horse-Play<\/a>. \u201cThe scale is unbelievable. What\u2019s rather reassuring and lovely is that everyone in it is so charming, fun and nice to be around.\u201d<\/p>\n But the Sherlock actor revealed he originally thought it would be \u201cscary\u201d to shoot the action blockbuster, helmed by Tom Cruise.<\/p>\n \u201cI remember when I started on Dead Reckoning Part One last year, I saw all these big American actors and you just imagine they\u2019re going to be really scary and razor-sharp. Then you realize they\u2019re all sh*****g themselves the same as anyone else!\u201d<\/p>\n The actor went on to explain he had become close with everyone on set. He said: \u201cI\u2019ve made some really good friends on it, and it was a terrific experience. It\u2019s not over yet! (Laughs.) It goes on and on and on \u2013 they sort of shoot in perpetuity.<\/p>\n \u201cBecause of COVID and shooting both Part One and Two back-to-back, it\u2019s just been continuously rolling. Hayley Atwell said to me by the time she finishes, she\u2019ll have been on both films for five years!
