After a long wait, Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 is finally headed to Netflix<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 and it will see a grave new threat target the Otherworld.<\/p>\n Abigail Cowen returns to star in the edgy teen reimagining of beloved children\u2019s cartoon Winx Club<\/a>, once again playing fire fairy Bloom, whose powers reached incredible new levels last season following an encounter with the monstrous Burned Ones.<\/p>\n However, things soon took a dark turn as Bloom\u2019s mentor figure Headmistress Dowling (Eve Best) was murdered by longtime rival Rosalind, who proceeded to cover up her crimes and take Alfea College for herself.<\/p>\n Two-time Academy Award nominee Miranda Richardson stars as Rosalind in season 2, taking over for Before We Die<\/a>\u2018s Lesley Sharp, who originated the character last year.<\/p>\n Fate: The Winx Saga also plays things closer to the source material in season 2, with the introduction of Paulina Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s Flora, an original cast member in the cartoon who was conspicuously absent<\/a> from the initial run.<\/p>\n Previously, star Eliot Salt \u2013 who plays Flora\u2019s cousin Terra \u2013 described an on-screen reunion between the two characters as her \u201cgreatest hope\u201d for season 2.
