He lost faith in Ser Otto Hightower<\/a> (Rhys Ifans) after the former Hand accused the King\u2019s daughter Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen<\/a> (Milly Alcock) of getting up to no good with her uncle Prince Daemon Targaryen<\/a> (Matt Smith) \u2013 half true.<\/p>\n

The head of House Strong and Lord of Harrenhal, Lord Lyonel Strong is a noble member of King Viserys\u2019s advisors, serving first as the Master of Laws on his Small Council.<\/p>\n

Intelligent, wise and calm, Lyonel would eventually have a more pivotal role in the King\u2019s life, acting as the Hand of the King after the previously faithful servant, Ser Otto Hightower, was removed from the position after slandering Princess Rhaenyra.<\/p>\n

Lord Lyonel is the father of two sons, Ser Harwin Strong (Ryan Corr) \u2013 also known as Breakbones \u2013 and Larys Strong (Matthew Needham).<\/p>\n

Lord Lyonel Strong is portrayed by actor Gavin Spokes<\/strong> in House of the Dragon.<\/p>\n

Viewers will most recently recognise Spokes from Britbox hit The Ipcress File, where he played Terry, earlier this year.<\/p>\n

He has also appeared in some of the UK\u2019s biggest shows, including Holby City, Casualty, Hollyoaks and The Bill.<\/p>\n

Spokes has just finished filming on Magic Mike\u2019s Last Dance and TV series, Better \u2013 neither of these have air dates at time of writing.<\/p>\n
