Hollywood superstars George Clooney and Julia Roberts have reunited for their fifth film together in new rom-com Ticket to Paradise<\/a> \u2013 and according to Roberts, there was one thing in particular that attracted her to the film.<\/p>\n \u201cJust the chance to be snarky to George!\u201d she told RadioTimes.co<\/a>m<\/a> and other press when asked what she liked about the script during a virtual press conference ahead of the film\u2019s release.<\/p>\n \u201cThat really jumped out to me \u2013 just to see him so pathetically in love with me when I\u2019ve clearly moved on!\u201d<\/p>\n Asked what it was that made him sign up, Clooney responded: \u201cWhat was so important to me was to be able to work with the queen of sitcoms, the queen of romantic comedies\u2026<\/p>\n \u201cBut she couldn\u2019t take the job so I worked with Julia instead!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOh you went there,\u201d responded Roberts. \u201cAnd you left just enough time that I thought I was in the free and clear.\u201d<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, writer and director Ol Parker \u2013 whose previous credits include The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again \u2013 revealed the movie wouldn\u2019t have been made without both Clooney and Roberts.<\/p>\n Asked if he wrote the script with the two leads in mind, he said: \u201cYou\u2019re entirely right in thinking that \u2013 and it was only them.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I wouldn\u2019t be sitting here, we wouldn\u2019t have made the film if it wasn\u2019t them. I\u2019d still be writing letters going, \u2018You don\u2019t understand, this needs to be you\u2019.<\/p>\n
