BBC Radio 2 DJ and The One Show presenter Richie Anderson<\/a> will soon take to the dance floor as part of Strictly Come Dancing 2022<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 and he\u2019s now spoken about his decision to be partnered with a male professional dancer on the show.<\/p>\n Anderson was speaking with RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press ahead of the new season starting when he revealed that he was given the option of whether he wanted to dance with a man or woman when he was asked to appear on the show.<\/p>\n He revealed: \u201cThey said, \u2018We\u2019re booking you and it\u2019s up to you whether you want to dance with a man or woman.\u2019 And I went home and I spoke to my other half, and this year is our 10-year anniversary.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd he was like, \u2018You\u2019ve got to do it. You\u2019ve got to go out there and dance with a man,\u2019 and he said, \u2018How would you feel, you know, throwing one of the women up in the air? You\u2019d probably injure them.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cSo it was a no brainer, really.
