Recent episodes of the ITV soap saw Kelly finally discover that her guardian Gary had murdered her father Rick<\/a> and buried his body in the woods.<\/p>\n Consumed with rage, Kelly paid one of Rick\u2019s former henchmen, Kieron, \u00a310,000 to kill him, but later had second thoughts and called off the job \u2013 only for the hitman to decide he\u2019d rather finish Kelly off too<\/a>!<\/p>\n In upcoming scenes, Kieron forces the pair onto a rooftop and reveals his plan to kill Kelly and frame her for Gary\u2019s murder, making it look like murder-suicide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As chaos ensues, a gunshot rings out, but who has been caught in the firing line?<\/p>\n Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod\u00a0previously opened up about the dramatic scenes<\/a>, revealing that volume wall technology was used by his team to create an epic rooftop stunt.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat we\u2019ve done is create this incredible rooftop sequence with a sort of twinkling cityscape behind it,\u201d he told the media. \u201cSo that we can do things that you could never normally do in a location shoot. You can put real actors in what appears to be very real danger without using stunt performers. You can have the camera behave in a way that it can\u2019t do in the real world.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThe camera can swoop and fly and move around in ways that you can\u2019t do for real. So we created this incredibly cinematic sequence for the set piece of this week, which I\u2019m incredibly excited about. I\u2019ve only seen the rushes and it already looks incredible.\u201d<\/p> Gibson announced over the summer that she would be departing from Coronation Street after three years playing the character<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think\u00a0Corrie\u00a0is a home,\u201d she said of her departure. \u201cIt\u2019s the best way of describing it, it\u2019s a home. Because I\u2019m so young, I thought: \u2018I\u2019ve got to leave\u2019. I have no responsibilities \u2013 I don\u2019t have kids, I don\u2019t have a mortgage to pay or anything like that, I\u2019m still grateful to be living at home.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I thought: \u2018I\u2019m just going to see what else the world has\u2019. If it does happen, it does \u2013 that would be quite good, wouldn\u2019t it?
