As if a new Steven Moffat drama starring David Tennant wasn\u2019t enough to get us excited, the upcoming BBC One series Inside Man<\/a> also includes Hollywood star Stanley Tucci in its impressive cast.<\/p>\n

And Tucci has revealed that Moffat\u2019s previous work was a huge draw for him when it came to signing on to the project, as was working with an actor like Tennant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat attracted me to the project was the group of people assembled,\u201d he said. \u201cSteven Moffat, director Paul McGuigan, who I had worked with before, and I love Steven\u2019s writing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI loved the Sherlocks and I think he is an amazing writer. I think David Tennant is just a great, great actor and Lydia [West] and Dolly [Wells] too \u2013 it\u2019s an amazing group of people.\u201d<\/p>

Asked about the process of working with Moffat, Tucci said that in some ways it was more like working in theatre than television \u2013 in part because of the length of the scenes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful, there\u2019s a lot to do, there\u2019s a lot to say, it\u2019s more like a play in a lot of ways for actors than it is for a television show,\u201d he said, before clarifying: \u201cIt\u2019s not shot like a play, it\u2019s shot like a television show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe length of each scene is much longer than one would normally find so you have to prepare yourself for that,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere are very lengthy speeches, lengthy dialogue scenes, but if you\u2019re prepared, it works out. It\u2019s so well written that it\u2019s just fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
