As time passes on the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon<\/a>, some characters are played by multiple actors.<\/p>\n

Fans will be aware that actors Milly Alcock and Emily Carey have exited the series<\/a> and will be replaced by Emma D\u2019Arcy and Olivia Cooke<\/a>, respectively, from the sixth episode onwards.<\/p>\n

However, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen<\/a> and Queen Alicent Hightower<\/a> are not the only characters to be portrayed by multiple stars.<\/p>\n

One of these figures is another member of the Targaryen family<\/a>, Prince Aegon Targaryen, or Aegon II if you wish to differentiate him from Aegon the Conquerer.<\/p>\n

Prince Aegon Targaryen is the eldest son of King Viserys I Targaryen<\/a> and Queen Alicent Hightower.<\/p>\n

As he is the first-born son of King Viserys, Aegon has a claim to the Iron Throne after his father and is argued by some to be the rightful successor to the King.<\/p>\n

However, Viserys has named Aegon\u2019s older half-sister Princess Rhaenyra as his heir and made the lords of the kingdom swear obeisance to her, making her the Princess of Dragonstone.<\/p>\n

Despite the birth of Aegon and his siblings, the King has shown no signs of discarding Rhaenyra as his heir.<\/p>\n

Viserys even rejected the proposal from Alicent\u2019s father Ser Otto Hightower<\/a> (Rhys Ifans) of marrying Aegon to Rhaenyra in the tradition of Old Valyria<\/a>, accusing the Hand of the King of seeking to advance the influence of House Hightower.<\/p>\n

Well, a number of actors portray Prince Aegon Targaryen in the television series House of the Dragon.<\/p>\n

Following an uncredited infant actor portraying Aegon, two actors play the role during his adolescence and adulthood.<\/p>\n

He is therefore the son and grandson of two actors to have played The Doctor in Doctor Who<\/a>, while his mother portrayed \u2018The Doctor\u2019s Daughter\u2019, Jenny, in one episode of the series.<\/p>\n
