Whittaker will bow out from her role as the Thirteenth Doctor in the October special, which is set to be feature length and include numerous returning friends and foes \u2013 from Tegan and Ace<\/a> to the Master and the Daleks.<\/p>\n Whittaker spoke with this month\u2019s issue of Empire Magazine<\/a>, and said that The Power of the Doctor is \u201cone for the Whovians\u201d.<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cIt\u2019s a huge treat if you\u2019re a proper fan. It\u2019s got all the iconic things that you associate with Doctor Who. It\u2019s massive.\u201d<\/p>\n Whittaker also spoke in more depth about her regeneration scene in particular, saying that she loved the dialogue outgoing showrunner Chris Chibnall wrote for the scene.<\/p>\n She said that \u201cit captures my Doctor beautifully\u201d, calling the scene \u201csimple, epic and beautiful\u201d.<\/p>\n Empire noted that the sequence is delivered in one long take, and Whittaker added: \u201cWhen I could see the crew was happy with that last shot, that\u2019s when my bottom lip started going. I was like, \u2018Well, they can\u2019t say they need another take now because I\u2019ve f**king lost it!’\u201d<\/p> Whittaker also gave her thoughts on her successor in the role, Ncuti Gatwa<\/a>, describing his casting as \u201cinspired\u201d.
