With Eurovision<\/a> officially coming to the UK next year, it\u2019s been revealed that the competition will be hosted in one of two cities: Glasgow or Liverpool.<\/p>\n The shortlist of potential host cities was revealed in August and was then made up of seven locations, five of which \u2013 Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield \u2013 have now been knocked out of the running.<\/p>\n In a statement, Martin \u00d6sterdahl, Executive Supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest, said: \u201cThe EBU (European Broadcasting Union) would like to warmly thank all the seven British cities that put so much effort and enthusiasm into their bids to host next year\u2019s Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine. We very much appreciate their cooperation and the quality and creativity of all the bids received.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Eurovision Song Contest is the most complex TV production in the world with very specific logistical requirements to accommodate around 40 delegations and thousands of crew, volunteers, press and fans.\u201d<\/p>\n And then there were two\u2026
