<\/p>
Channel 4\u2019s The Great British Bake Off<\/a> returned this evening, with the contestants taking on Bread Week for the latest\u00a0Bake Off theme<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, viewers will have noticed that two contestants in the Great British Bake Off 2022 line-up<\/a> were missing from the tent, and missed out on the challenges.<\/p>\n Electronics engineer Abdul<\/a>, 29, and Masters students Rebs<\/a>, 23, were unable to take part this week.<\/p>\n So, where are they? And will they return to the 13th season?<\/p>\n Here\u2019s everything you need to know about Rebs and Abdul.<\/p>\n At the beginning of tonight\u2019s episode, Matt Lucas revealed that Rebs and Abdul were feeling \u201cunder the weather\u201d so wouldn\u2019t be taking part in Bread Week.<\/p>\n \u201cGood morning, bakers! Welcome back to the tent. Now, both Rebs and Abdul are a bit under the weather this week,\u201d he said, before joking: \u201cBut, with your permission we thought we\u2019d send them both straight through to the final.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOnly joking, they\u2019re just going to miss a week and hopefully they\u2019ll be back next week.\u201d Noel Fielding added.<\/p>\n As they\u2019re unwell, Rebs and Abdul are exempt from this week\u2019s eliminations and are expected to return the show for Week 4. Upon their return, they\u2019ll take on another Signature, Technical and Showstopper challenge and be critiqued like the rest of the contestants.<\/p>\n At the end of the episode, one person will be named Star Baker and at least one contestant will be sent home.<\/p> So far on the 2022 season, we\u2019ve seen two contestants win the Star Baker<\/a> accolade. In Week 1, Janusz<\/a> won Star Baker as he impressed in Cake Week. Maxy<\/a> became the second recipient of the Star Baker award after wowing the judges with her carnival-style biscuit mask.<\/p>\n Two contestants have also been eliminated<\/a> from the latest season so far \u2013 Will<\/a>\u00a0left in episode 1 and Maisam<\/a>, who was the youngest baker in the tent at 18, departed the following week.<\/p>\n The Great British Bake Off 2022 airs on Channel 4 on Tuesdays at 8pm.\u00a0<\/strong>Looking for something else to watch?
