Fans of Line of Duty<\/a> could be in for some good news in the near future. Star Adrian Dunbar, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings on Jed Mercurio\u2019s hit BBC drama, appeared to give some hope for a season 7 during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.<\/p>\n

Host Susanna Reid asked the actor whether AC-12 would return to our screens, to which Dunbar replied: \u201cWell yes, we really hope so. I mean everyone is kind of gunning for it, so yeah. I\u2019m sure the public want it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cSo we\u2019re keeping our fingers crossed. Within the next few weeks or couple of months we might hear something, so that will be good.\u201d<\/p>

Dunbar couldn\u2019t specify whether the next Line of Duty instalment, should it be confirmed, would be a full season or a one-off episode, stating it would be creator Mercurio\u2019s choice \u2013 but he added that there were plenty of places the story could go.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe story can continue, put it that way. In terms of the story finishing, I think it was a really interesting ending,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Previously, the actor had told Radio Times magazine\u00a0<\/strong>that he didn\u2019t believe Buckells was \u2018H\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes! He\u2019s not \u2018H\u2019,\u201d he said, before adding: \u201cWe just got the guy we could actually pin a charge on. We didn\u2019t get \u2018H\u2019, we got Buckells, the patsy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a scene when we look at each other and think: \u2018Really? This t**t?\u2019 He\u2019s a distraction.\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll have to wait and see if there will be more Line of Duty to find out for sure.<\/p>\n
