Following Mexican Week, judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood decided that both Rebs<\/a>, 23, from Country Antrim, and James<\/a>, 25, from Cumbria would be leaving the tent for good.<\/p>\n \u201cBake Off has been a fabulous experience, it\u2019s just I didn\u2019t want it to be cut this short.\u00a0 I am gutted for James as well, he is such a fabulous person,\u201d Rebs said.<\/p>\n James added: \u201cWell I think I went wrong across the board!\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking of their performance in Week 4, Prue explained: \u201cPoor Rebs, but her flavours were just too strong, and too many of them.<\/p>\n \u201cI am always sad to see bakers go, but particularly James. He had a rotten week and his Showstopper was a real disappointment.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul added: \u201cIt\u2019s hard in this tent, and next week we are halfway through.\u201d<\/p> The double elimination comes after a Bake Off twist in Week 3<\/a>, which saw all the contestants in the Great British Bake Off 2022 line-up<\/a> saved from eviction after\u00a0Rebs and Abdul missed out on Bread Week<\/a> due to being unwell.<\/p>\n The judges felt that it wouldn\u2019t be fair to send anyone home as a result.<\/p>\n The Great British Bake airs on Channel 4 on Tuesdays at 8pm.
